Hey everyone, I am telling you some current affairs which are very important for GK section in the upcoming examinations, So let’s start.
1) Best Asian Universities:
Times Higher Education (THE) which is known for giving rankings to universities world-wide has recently announced Top 50 best Asian universities 2017. In which Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is ranked at 42. Chennai based Private institute Veltech university is on 43th spot in the list. And Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore stands at 27th spot for the second year in a row.
2) India to end TB by 2030:
India signed a “call for action” of WHO. Its purpose to end TB in India by 2030. Indian among other countries in the South East Asian Region has signed this call. In a report, there were 8,00,000 deaths because of TB in 2015.
3) 50 New KV Schools in India:
The Cabinet Committee which was chaired by PM Mr. Narendra Modi has signed the proposal for opening 50 new Kendriya Vidyalaya. These schools will be under Civil/Defence Sector in the country. The total cost of this project is 1160 Crore Rs.

4) World’s most ethical companies:
Two Indian companies, Tata Steel and Wipro have made their places in the list of World’s most ethical companies. This information is given by American Think Tank Ethisphere Institute. In this list, there are many US-based companies around 98. “Ford Motor” company is the world’s most ethical company according to this American Think Tank.
5) Amarinder Singh- Punjab’s New CM:
After Punjab Assembly Election Result, Amarinder has taken the oath as Chief Minister of Punjab. Amarinder Singh will be Punjab’s 26th Chief Minister. In Punjab Assembly, there can be maximum 18 Ministers. Congress has 77 MLAs in Punjab Assembly.
6) N Biren Singh- Manipur’s New CM:
As Manipur Assembly Result is declared. Nongthombam Biren Singh will be New Chief Minister of Manipur. He has taken the oath at Raj Bhawan in Imphal. For the first time, BJP is forming the state government in Manipur.
